PT TOMORROW: AL East — In TAM, Baz-man returns… but who goes?

Barring an unforeseen development, the Rays — and fantasy managers — will welcome back Shane Baz (RHP, TAM) soon after he first becomes eligible to be activated from the 60-day injured list June 6.

Across three rehabilitation starts, Baz has given up only one earned run in 8.2 IP (4 H, 3 BB, 10 K).

Baz will reportedly get one more test at AAA-Durham on June 5, increasing his pitch count from the 56 in his most recent outing, which ideally would cover five or six innings.

His next start thereafter could come in Tampa. Details on how the Rays plan to make room for Baz in the rotation have thus far been scarce, with the only certain thing being that budding ace Shane McClanahan (LHP, TAM) is going nowhere.
