The Rays—winners of eight straight games, though with still only a faint glimmer of hope in the wild-card race—will hope to continue to build good vibes heading into 2019 with their September call-ups.

Playing Time Today analyst Matt Dodge mentioned perhaps the most prominent name: Austin Meadows (OF, TAM), who as Dodge discussed has performed well since coming over in the Chris Archer (RHP, PIT) trade (1.002 OPS in 24 games).

In 2019, how exactly Meadows will fit into an outfield that also includes Mallex Smith (OF, TAM), Kevin Kiermaier (OF, TAM) and Tommy Pham (OF, TAM) remains to be seen, but in the near term—with Smith disabled and Carlos Gómez (OF, TAM) unlikely to return in 2019—having a look at Meadows would seem...
