While the Blue Jays have yet to make an impact move this offseason — unless re-signing Robbie Ray (LHP, TOR) counts — perhaps the biggest news out of Toronto this offseason is the goal of Vladimir Guerrero Jr. (1B, TOR) to arrive at camp having lost 50 pounds since last July, with the intent of reclaiming his former position, third base, and manager Charlie Montoyo has said that the “door is open” to Guerrero to do just that.

Of course, while fantasy managers may welcome the added positional versatility, what they would really like to see is Guerrero being in the proverbial “best shape of his life” translating into what already feels like a “long-awaited” breakout, even though Guerrero won’t turn 22 until March.
