PT TOMORROW: AL East—Bundy, Miller, others may surge in 2H

For a while now, speculation has been rampant that Dylan Bundy (RHP, BAL) might join the Orioles rotation in the second half due to the team’s profound starting pitching woes. After all, Bundy’s outings have gradually gotten longer as the season has gone on, maxing out at three innings and close to 60 pitches.

Not only have Bundy’s outings gotten longer, his skills have been surging, with a 9.2 Dom, 7.5 Cmd and 152 BPV in June. That has been followed by a 2-2/3-IP scoreless outing July 5 in which all but one of Bundy’s outs came via strikeout.

Nonetheless, at least one close Orioles watcher, MASN’s Roch Kubatko, believes those pining for a Bundy start might have to cool their jets a bit longer than the end of the...
