While the Blue Jays will no doubt try to hang around the Wild Card race as long as they can, there continues to be speculation about whether the team might conduct a fire sale, going beyond trying to get whatever they can for players in the final years of their contracts, like José Bautista (OF, TOR), Marco Estrada (RHP, TOR) and Francisco Liriano (LHP, TOR) and perhaps extending to, among others, third baseman Josh Donaldson (3B, TOR).

Donaldson, however, is not exactly providing much of a temptation for contending clubs. While he hit well initially upon returning May 26 from a calf injury that cost him a month and a half, from June 14 to July 7, Donaldson has slashed .153/.291/.194 without a home run across 86 plate...
