With three HR in his first two games, Chris Parmelee (OF, BAL) has surged to the fore of the Orioles’ right-field playing-time picture. As noted by analyst Matt Dodge in Playing Time Today, Parmelee arrived in Baltimore after hitting well at AAA-Norfolk, though not quite with as much power as when he was with the Twins organization.

In 2012, Parmelee slashed .338/.457/.645 with 17 HR in only 228 AB for AAA-Rochester. Now 27, Parmelee perhaps still owns power skills on that order, though he has had trouble carrying them to the big leagues in his previous opportunities.
