The Yankees will head into the offseason will some roles to sort out among its pitching staff. The team will have to decide what to do about the $25-million option on the contract of C.C. Sabathia (LHP, NYY) that seems destined to vest, barring the sudden onset of shoulder woes.

While the Yankees could potentially send Sabathia on his way, the pitcher has offered some evidence in recent weeks that he has a bit left in the tank (though perhaps not $25 million worth). Over the past 31 days, Sabathia has posted a 3.32 xERA, 146 BPV, 9.8 Dom and 4.3 Cmd.
