PT TOMORROW: AL East—Mullins ditches switch hitting; might it unlock CF job?

One of the fiercest battles in Orioles camp figured to be the fight to join Anthony Santander (OF, BAL) in the outfield, on the assumption that Trey Mancini (1B, BAL) and Ryan Mountcastle (DH, BAL) are going to log the bulk of their time at first base and designated hitter, respectively. Already, there have been some developments.

For one thing, center field contender Cedric Mullins (OF, BAL) has announced that he plans to give up switch-hitting and instead bat exclusively left-handed. In other words, he looked at the writing on the wall, which was the following slash line in 111 plate appearances as a RHB: .147/.250/.189.

While it is too soon to call the decision an unqualified success, it did pay some immediate...
