PT TOMORROW: AL East—Sizemore a scapegoat for struggling Sox?

Until Shane Victorino (OF, BOS) hit the disabled list with a hamstring injury, it had begun to look like things were coming to a head for the roster spot of Grady Sizemore (OF, BOS). Sizemore’s contract has sizeable bonuses, both for the length of Sizemore’s stay on the Red Sox roster and for the number of plate appearances. He earns a $250,000 bonus for being on the roster for 60 days and an additional $250,000 for each 30 days thereafter, and also begins earning $250,000 bonuses for every 25 plate appearances at 225 plate appearances. (He was at 141 through Saturday, May 24.)

After a 13-for-42 spring training, Sizemore has been unable to carry that performance into the regular season; his PX and xPX have slipped a bit...
