If Joe could, in fact, be a genie, one of the Blue Jays wishes would probably be for him to clone himself.

That’s because Toronto has a couple of different possible roles in mind for the second-year pitcher, each of which could bring fantasy significance.

Alas, there is but one Joe Biagini (RHP, TOR).

A Rule 5 draft pick in 2015, Biagini will reportedly be stretched out this spring so as not to foreclose prematurely the possibility of using him as a starter.

There is the chance that—if Toronto believes it can adequately build a bridge to closer Roberto Osuna (RHP, TOR) without him—Biagini will begin the year in the minors, getting a regular rotation turn and awaiting an opportunity to arise due to injury or...
