PT TOMORROW: AL West—The best of times?

Texas Rangers

The most pleasant early season surprise in Arlington has been a rotation with a 3.22 ERA, second only to CHW among AL team leaders. And now the Rangers are looking forward to welcoming back Tommy John surgery outpatient Yu Darvish, who passed his first Double-A rehab test nicely in posting two Ks and permitting just a walk in 2 scoreless IP. Darvish is currently projected for a mid-May return, which may make for an interesting decision as to who stays and who is pushed out of the rotation, perhaps into the beleaguered Rangers bullpen.

The choices behind Darvish, Cole Hamels and likely Derek Holland (LHP, TEX)—2.48 ERA and 1.03 WHIP over 29 IP, despite a 5.6 Dom and 4.50 ERA—come down to veteran innings-eater Colby Lewis...

Almost!
