More than a few saves-desperate deep-league José Leclerc (RHP, TEX) owners have held onto their guy despite the 1H hiccups. It had long been assumed and even suggested by management that Leclerc wasn't far away from reclaiming his closer role, after coughing it up in late April with a less-than-dominating (8 BB, 10 runs over 8 IP) performance that month. Leclerc has since rebounded, posting a 3.00 ERA over his next 30 IP while recovering his SwK and reducing the free passes. But some inconsistency persists—and xERA, BPV declines, along with an uptick in HR allowed, suggest that Leclerc isn't quite the same pitcher suggested by his overpowering 2018 2H (28 IP, 0.64/2.46 ERA/xERA).
