PT TOMORROW: AL West—Crisp in OAK?

Oakland Athletics

Seemingly healthy after coming off the DL in August, Coco Crisp's (OF, OAK) offensive struggles—.254 BA, no HR, 1 SB through 63 AB, with mediocre BPIs to match—seem to have cost him his starting job at least temporarily. Crisp was out of the lineup for the ninth straight game on Monday vs. HOU, and a close look at his numbers reveals why. A 53% HctX and 53/35 PX/xPX say that despite an 87% ct%, Crisp just isn't hitting the ball with any authority, and a 97/89 RSpd/Spd says that neither his legs or running game is what they once were. Add in a 6% bb%, and Crisp has obviously contributed very little since his return. Crisp is signed through 2016, which suggests that he still has a chance to regroup...
