​The acquisitions of Khris Davis in February and Chris Coghlan in March made it abundantly clear that there would be fewer AB to go around in OKA and that in particular, the playing time of Mark Canha (1B/DH, OAK) and Billy Butler (DH, OAK) would suffer. After receiving 441 AB in 2015 and posting a credible 16 HR and 70 RBI in his MLB debut, Canha has been given just two starts through the first eight games, was just 1-for-9 (with a HR) entering Monday's play. The regular DH in 2015, Butler sat for five consecutive games through Monday—all vR—​and currently looks like the weak side of a lineup platoon option.
