But that now David Freese's (3B, LAA) dreadful April has been compounded by nagging quadriceps strain, the door for Stewart looks wide open.
In the starting lineup at 3B Monday for the fourth consecutive game, Stewart is flashing his old power and showing no sign of the wrist injuries that have shelved him too often in the recent past.
