PT TOMORROW: AL West—It's Marwin's and Yonder's world...

Houston Astros

Like most, we expected the early April Marwin Gonzalez (OF, HOU) power binge to subside—but it instead picked up again at the end of the month, as the HOU utility player hit six HR in seven games ending May 4, giving him nine through 70 AB for the season. As Dave Adler suggested earlier this week in his Fact/Fluke treatment, the gap between his current 215 PX and 123 xPX suggests that Gonzalez won't continue on a 40+ HR pace. But if any of this new early-season selectivity (12%) and FB spike (41%) holds, 25-30 HR suddenly looks doable.

And if Gonzalez has indeed found a new gear, who will his PT increase impact in an already-potent lineup? Gonzalez's utility has been beneficial to date, in allowing him to fill in...

Almost!
