Without David Freese, Josh Hamilton and Kole Calhoun for at least the next 15-20 days, the past weekend's roster moves point to fluid lineups over the foreseeable future. Replacing Freese—now on the DL due to a non-displaced fracture of his index finger—this past Saturday was Luis Jimenez (3B, LAA), who had been expected to see AB vs. LHP in a platoon with Ian Stewart (3B, LAA). At least until Sunday's extended bullpen use made his roster spot necessary to accommodate a fresh arm. Jimenez could return quickly, but sub-par pitch selection and 2013 MLB debut—.260/.202 BA/xBA, 2% bb%, 60 PX—don't point to any long-term fantasy value.
