Delayed season or not, the Angels' rotation behind Andrew Heaney, Julio Teheran and Dylan Bundy was always going to be going to be a question mark up until Opening Day. But at least some clarity was provided with optioning of Jaime Barría (RHP, LAA) to AAA-Salt Lake City this weekend. The other active candidates—Matt Andriese (RHP, LAA), Dillon Peters (RHP, LAA), Patrick Sandoval (LHP, LAA) and José Suarez (LHP, LAA)—all outpitched Barria during an abbreviated spring, which seems like the separation point for now. Griffin Canning's (RHP, LAA) balky elbow still make him a poor bet to be ready at any time in the near future.

But pitcher Shohei Ohtani's (RHP, LAA) value gets the biggest boost from the interruption....
