A reminder that Opening Day rosters are a point in time for all teams and organization, all with different/immediate issues and priorities—and not at all etched in stone. On the positional side here, the priority is getting through mid-April without Michael Brantley (still recovering from shoulder surgery) and a potentially sub-par Yordan Álvarez, who was able to get just seven spring training AB after being out with hand issues. Not to mention establishing some offensive consistency minus José Altuve (fractured thumb) over the season's first two months. The club's strength remains its pitching; the defending champions finished eighth in MLB scoring last season, and occasional droughts now seem like a legitimate early...
