This past March, we noted SEA's envious rotation depth and how it was the centerpiece of the club's playoff expectations, even foreshadowing the eventual departure of Chris Flexen and ascension of prospect Bryce Miller (RHP, SEA). But now at the halfway point in the season, the Mariners have underperformed, now a full five games out of the postseason wildcard race as of Wednesday July 5. The pitching has kept the club within striking distance up until now, but thanks to injuries and workload limitations, the second half rotation is beginning to look murky.
