PT TOMORROW: AL West—Zunino at a crossroad?

After raising expectations with his performance at AAA-Tacoma (.286/.376/.521 with 17 HR in 280 AB) and his early performance in SEA, Mike Zunino (C, SEA) might be on the verge of telling us more about his future. Zunino ended Aug. 22 with an impressive .280 BA and nine HR through 75 AB, but he's been 0-for-18 with 11 Ks ever since. There's zero doubt about Zunino's plus power, and there's certainly some minute sample cherry-picking here. But his performance over the past week is reminiscent of the old Zunino, whose dwindling contact and inability to keep his BA above .200 in almost a thousand MLB AB from 2013 through 2015 led to his early 2016 Triple-A stint.

Zunino isn't going to replicate his minor league BA in SEA....
