The Reds outfield was a major piece of solving the playing time puzzle in Cincinnati entering the 2020 season. While always promising, Jesse Winker (OF, CIN) appeared to be a possible loser in the outfield crunch. While he had always displayed an impeccable ability to make contact (81 career ct%) that never turned into superstar like results (58 career BPV) and also produced a relative lack of power (103 career PX). More concerning were his struggles against lefties (.197 career BA across 180 career plate appearances) and inability to field any position adequately in the outfield.  

While he’s still not lining up to receive a Gold Glove award, the addition of the designated hitter in the National League has alleviated...
