The promotion of Javier Báez (2B, CHC) created quite a buzz, and he made an immediate impact by blasting three home runs in the first series of his career. Things will get tougher, though, now that the Cubs have left Colorado. Baez hit 23 home runs in 388 at-bats for Triple-A Iowa, but struck out 130 times (66 percent contact rate). That combination of plus power and contact issues will likely lead to his fair share of ups and downs in the short-term.
