Nick Castellanos (OF, CHC) has been a revelation for the Cubs. Since joining the team at the trade deadline, he’s mashed 11 home runs and slashed .348/.713/1.098 (through Saturday’s game). Between his performance on the field and his off-field cameo as a philosopher to declare that every day is Opening Day, Castellanos has been quite an acquisition for the club. The question remains, however, if his fit with the team is long-term. How the club handles his free agency will not only provide answers to where Castellanos will be playing his home games in 2020, but also provide a glimpse into the future roles of Ian Happ (2B/OF, CHC), Kyle Schwarber (OF, CHC), and Albert Almora (OF, CHC).
