Jacob Nottingham (C, MIL) is back in Milwaukee unexpectedly after his Triple-A season ended due to a head injury suffered by Manny Piña (C, MIL). While he’s yet to appear at the plate, his presence may provide the team a glimpse of their future behind the plate. While Nottingham was originally known as a prospect for the damage he did with the bat in his hand, he’s worked hard to improve the defensive aspects of his game. Said manager Craig Counsell in the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel when it was reported Nottingham would rejoin the team, “He’s worked really hard at the defensive part, he’s become pretty darn good at it."
