PT TOMORROW: NL Central—STL considering sending Taveras back down

Playing time continues to be sporadic for Oscar Taveras (OF, STL), as his start July 23 was just his third in the team's last eight games. He's been unable to get it going at the plate, hitting just.217/.250/.261 since being recalled July 1, with a similar .205/.239/.277 line across 83 at-bats for the season.

Taveras has performed as expected at the Triple-A level, as he hit .318/.370/.502 with eight home runs in 262 plate appearances. The long-term outlook remains incredibly bright for the outfielder who entered the season ranked among the top prospects in the game.
