PT TOMORROW: NL East -- Looking for potential long-term solutions as the Braves starting pitcher injuries continue

The division-leading Braves have a 4.5-game lead over the surprising second-place Marlins and a bit of a looming starting pitching problem with Max Fried joining Kyle Wright on the injured list. As I've covered in recent playing time tomorrow columns, the bulk of those starts appear to be going to a mix of Jared Shuster and Dylan Dodd in the short term, with a dash of hope that we could see Michael Soroka in Atlanta in the medium term. However, today I want to look a bit further ahead than that because earlier this week A.J. Smith-Shawver was promoted to Triple-A Gwinnett.

It's been a bit of a whirlwind for the 20-year-old Smith-Shawver, who began this season in High-A ball. He threw three starts with 14 innings there...
