PT TOMORROW: NL East - A shortstop battle in ATL

Atlanta Braves

With Dansby Swanson (SS, CHC) gone, the Braves look to fill the hole at shortstop. Vaughn Grissom (2B, ATL) and Orlando Arcia (2B, ATL) will battle for playing time at short, though Grissom's defense may prevent him from doing so to begin the season. Grissom had a -4.1 defensive WAR, with more offensive juice as a power and speed threat. Given Arcia's -2.5 defensive WAR and Outs Above Average in the 19th percentile, it might seem he's a worse fit. However, Arcia accumulated 21.9 defensive WAR, playing all over the field, and played 514 out of his 642 career games (80%) at shortstop. Grissom goes inside the top 200 picks, with Arcia's ADP past 600.

From an offensive standpoint, Grissom provides more, with a 121 wRC+ in...
