PT TOMORROW: NL East—Alex Wood appears stuck in the bullpen for now

Alex Wood (LHP, ATL) was moved to the bullpen on May 9, just three days after Gavin Floyd (RHP, ATL) was activated from the disabled list. The thinking at the time was that it would be a temporary move and that could very well wind up being the case. However, one has to consider the possibility that the move could last for more than just a few weeks.

We knew going into the season that the team wanted to limit Wood’s innings, so it wasn’t at all surprising to see them take this opportunity to give him a bit of a breather. What wasn’t expected is the surprisingly strong performance of Aaron Harang (RHP, ATL). When the Braves signed Harang toward the end of spring training, they were undoubtedly just hoping the 36-year-old...
