PT TOMORROW: NL East—Capps working toward larger role in MIA bullpen

Carter Capps (RHP, MIA) was recalled from Triple-A New Orleans on May 19 when Jarred Cosart (RHP, MIA) was forced to the disabled list with vertigo. We mentioned him earlier this year as someone who could work his way into a late innings role, but a poor spring earned him a trip to the minors. However, Capps has been pitching extremely well over the past few weeks (11 IP, 5 H, 1 R, 2 BB, 19 K) and could find himself very much in the mix for saves if A.J. Ramos (RHP, MIA) ever runs into trouble or needs a day off. The big thing for Capps is just staying healthy, as he has had lots of injuries over the years.
