Sixto Sánchez (RHP, MIA) has been diagnosed with a mild right shoulder strain and will have to ramp up his workload all over again, possibly keeping him out of games for the rest of April. Manager Don Mattingly was likely to carefully manage his innings this season anyhow, so this setback may not actually change his projected innings so much as move them around—assuming he comes back fully healthy, of course. The rookie pitcher’s overall PT will depend on a return to health and how the Marlins fare in the standings, as it’s more likely that he’ll see action all the way through to the end of the season if the team finds itself in the playoff hunt.
