Injuries have hit the Mets harder than a doped-up East German boxer who just found out his dog was run over. Fourteen players are currently unavailable, including six of nine from the Opening Day lineup. Some regulars, including J.D. Davis (3B/OF, NYM), are nearing their return, while others, like Brandon Nimmo (OF, NYM) are apparently still weeks away. The team is so banged up, they had to dip through four layers of their CF depth chart to field a guy in the middle of the outfield and complete a trade for $1 to back up that 4th CF.

Johneshwy Fargas (OF, NYM, pictured above wearing #81) is now the starting center fielder for the New York Mets, and he may be so for the next week or two. He impressed in limited playing time...
