PT TOMORROW: NL East—Minor has made some adjustments

If the Braves are to reach the postseason, they will need, among other things, Aaron Harang (RHP, ATL) and Mike Minor (LHP, ATL) to step up down the stretch.

Harang’s good fortune seems to finally be starting to fade a bit. As we mentioned a couple weeks ago, Harang’s skills have taken a drastic turn for the worse since a strong first two months of the season. Good H% and S% fortune masked the issues in July, but some regression in those areas has led to a rough August (4.35 ERA, 1.52 WHIP). The 36-year-old hasn’t posted an xERA better than 4.76 since May.

Minor, on the other hand, has shown some positive signs since his turn in the rotation was skipped earlier this month. In three starts since, Minor has pitched much...
