They have a handful of promising prospects who are nearly big-league ready. The question now is how the organization will transition these youngsters into roles in Flushing without compromising that win-now mindset. 3B Brett Baty got a reprieve of sorts when the Carlos Correa signing fell through, as Correa's arrival would have blocked Baty from third base for the long term.
