PT TOMORROW: NL East—Where do Swisher & Bourn fit into ATL's plans?

Atlanta Braves

The Braves were finally able to rid themselves of Chris Johnson’s (3B, CLE) bloated contract, acquiring Michael Bourn (OF, ATL) and Nick Swisher (1B/OF, ATL) in the process. As we discussed here last week, Johnson was slated to become the team’s third option at the hot corner once Hector Olivera (3B, ATL) joined the team, possibly within the next ten days or so. How will Bourn and Swisher fit into the team’s plans?

While Freddie Freeman (1B, ATL) is on the disabled list with a right oblique strain, it’s safe to assume that Swisher will man first base. That leaves Bourn as the primary left fielder, though he figures to take a seat against most left-handed pitching. Eury Pérez (OF, ATL) will probably be limited to action...

Almost!
