After playing all over the infield in 2020, It appears that Jake Cronenworth (1B/2B/SS, SD) has made second base his home early on this season. He’s started 13 of 16 games at the position (through Saturday night) and largely maintained, and even improved, upon the skills he showcased in a breakout 2020 campaign (140 HctX, 92 ct%, 120 xPX, 88 BPV). With Cronenworth finding a permanent home, Jurickson Profar (2B/OF, SD) has become the new utility man, recording 11 appearances in the outfield, two at second, and three at first base (through Saturday’s contest). He’s also enjoyed a strong start to the season (118 HctX, 89 ct%, 41 xPX, 54 BPV).
