PT TOMORROW: NL West-Identifying second-half breakout candidates

During this All-Star Week, we asked our PT TOMORROW columnists to pick one player from each team who could emerge and perhaps even surprise in the second half, based on skills and/or opportunity that may lurking a bit under the surface.

 

Arizona Diamondbacks

Corbin Martin (RHP, ARI). This is perhaps my most confident pick, mostly because the Arizona rotation needs to look different in the second half. Zach Davies (RHP, ARI) is currently on the injured list with shoulder inflammation, with little indication of when he may return. Dallas Keuchel (LHP, ARI) has been predictably miserable since joining the Diamondbacks, surrendering 20 earned runs with an 18:7 K-BB% across 18.2 innings.
