Connor Joe (1B/OF, COL) put together an impressive second half of the 2021 season, which pushed him into a leading position to earn a starting role in 2022. Things began well enough for him in the current campaign, as he managed a 43 BPV and got near everyday playing time at a combination of first base, left field and designated hitter throughout the first half. Despite the relative positive start, there were plenty of warning signs in his profile, highlighted by a 78 xPX and .244 xBA.

Things have worsened for him in the second half from a skills perspective, as he’s managed only a .252 on-base percentage and 26 BPV. We’ve seen him lose playing time for long stretches as a result, most recently sitting out seven...
