Darin Ruf (1B/OF, SF) began the 2022 season with near everyday playing time due to a combination of his strong performance in 2021 and a number of injuries that plagued the Giants. However, he’s gotten off to a poor start early in the campaign (95 HctX, 18 PX, 83 xPX, -46 BPV), and he appears to have already returned to the short-side platoon rule that was the source of the majority of his playing time last campaign. 

That diminished playing time is the result of the return of LaMonte Wade (1B/OF, SF) and the emergence of Luis González (OF, SF). Wade showed what he was capable of last season when he posted an 18 HR/6 SB performance backed by a 112 HctX and 138 xPX. Unless he underperforms greatly, he should...
