An offseason acquisition quickly shored up ARI's closer situation as Addison Reed (RHP, ARI) will be the undisputed stopper heading into 2014. Reed spearheads a relatively deep list of arms for the Diamondbacks.

J.J. Putz (RHP, ARI), who had been the incumbent the past few seasons, racked up 77 saves with Arizona in 2011-12 with dominant BPVs of 140 and 169, respectively. Elbow problems derailed his 2013 campaign and cost him the closer job after a 4.26 ERA in April. Putz is now 37 and has seen his FB velocity fade the last couple seasons, so there's certainly some risk in his 3.07 ERA, 116 BPV projection.
