It currently sits with a combined rotation ERA of 4.33, good for 14th best in the majors (after last year’s 4.79, 26th).
The highly touted Jeff Hoffman (RHP, COL) was recently called up for a spot start on May 22, and proceeded to post the best start of his young career: with 7 strikeouts and no walks over 7 IP, giving up a mere 3 hits and 1 ER.
