PT TOMORROW: NL West—Owings' struggles continue

Chris Owings (2B, ARI; pictured above) was named the team's starting 2B just before Opening Day, and it's looking like that may be the high point of his entire season. Owings has struggled mightily this year with a .232/.253/.324 slash line through 250 AB, and his underlying skills offer little hope for a rebound. Owings has seen his contact rate dip for the second straight year down to 72%, which has trickled through to his .223 xBA. Owings has great speed and he's on a 20-SB pace, but his dismal plate approach may soon force Arizona to consider other options at the position.
