After falling short in last year’s wildcard game, the Rockies have re-upped in a major way as they attempt to return to the playoffs and perhaps threaten for their first-ever NL West crown. The team’s most recent addition—the signing of closer Wade Davis (RHP, COL) to a three-year, $52M deal—was the latest in a string of moves to assemble what has become the priciest bullpen in MLB history.

Questions remain, however, as to whether they can generate the firepower befitting a Rockies lineup.
