Injury: Hyperextended left knee. There is a lot of speculation in Boston that the knee injury is just an excuse to get him off the mound so they can evaluate him. Something isn’t right, and they need to find the problem.

Estimated 2014 effect upon return: Unknown

Sean Burnett (LHP, LAA)
Injury: He has a torn UCL and will miss the rest of the 2014 season.
DL date: May 28
Estimated DL time: He’ll be out until June of 2015.
Estimated 2015 effect upon return: Normally, relievers can return a tad quicker than starters and pitch effectively almost from the day they are activated, but this is Burnett's second TJS. He's high risk at this point.
