Notes from select players going on the DL this past week…
Cliff Lee (LHP, PHI)
Injury/update: Strained left oblique. His recovery has been fine so far.
Estimated DL Time: Can be activated May 6. Oblique DL stints usually range from 28-34 days in length. However in his case it looks more like a May 11-16 return.
Jason Bay (OF, NYM)
Injury/update: Non-dislocated fractured rib left side.
Estimated DL Time: Three to four weeks, target range of May 15-20. The fracture is very small and the bones are in alignment, all good news.
Aubrey Huff (1B, SF)
Injury/Update: Anxiety disorder
Estimated DL Time: Mental illness situations are tough to gauge. Every situation is different and difficult to project how long he will be out.
