DR HQ: Weekly Wrapup, September 3-9

For the most part, disabled list moves—the official kind—are done for the season. Occasionally, we’ll see one when a team needs to make room on the 40-man roster. This doesn’t mean injuries are going to stop happening, though. This week, I’ll focus on notable player injury situations to help those teams still in the playoff chase.

Mark Teixeira (1B, NYY)
Injury: Strained left calf muscle
Rest of 2012: He suffered a re-injury to the same left calf that has plagued him for what seems like most of the season. The Yankees have a history of being conservative in bring back players from injuries.
