Injury: Non-displaced fracture – right thumb
DL date: April 13
Estimated DL time: Because it’s on his throwing hand, he will need a solid six weeks to heal and we probably won’t see him back in the Nationals lineup until the last week of May.
Estimated 2014 effect upon return: His power numbers could suffer.

Joe Kelly (RHP, STL)
Injury: Grade 1+ left hamstring strain
DL date: April 17
Estimated DL time: The Cardinals medical staff believes he’ll need at least two weeks to recover. He should return the first full week of May.
Estimated 2014 effect upon return: None expected.

Lorenzo Cain (OF, KC)
