GM's OFFICE: May assessments, and hitting the trade market

It's been a few years since Ron Shandler handed the reins of BaseballHQ to Brent and me, but Ron's influence still runs deep around here. This week, I'm dusting off one of his foundational tenets, "May 15th is just about the time when you want to start taking your league standings seriously".

Like all of you, despite the above tenet, I've been looking at my league's standings since roughly an hour after the first pitch was thrown on Opening Day. But with May 15 approaching, I figured it was time to take a more serious approach to looking at my standings, and look for some places where I can take some action.
