SPECULATOR: Searching for 2014's surprise teams

Each March, we take a break from player-specific analysis and cast our speculative eye at team-level performance, looking for teams that might be in line to surpass expectations in the coming season. Tying back to player analysis, we then try to project which players on those teams might drive the unlikely success, or just benefit from it.

As always, we turn to our favorite draft software, Rotolab, to do the heavy lifting of turning BaseballHQ.com projections into standings predictions.

Let's look at the National League first:

-------NL East------- ------NL Central----- -------NL West-------
Team RS RA Diff Team RS RA Diff Team RS RA Diff
====  ===  ===   ====     ====  ===  ===   ====     ====  === ...

Almost!
