Will Ryan Lavarnway (C, BOS) get a chance to play regularly in Boston?

At this time a year ago, Lavarnway was a sleeper value pick at catcher, based on the expectation that he was close to getting a long look in Boston, where his interesting power skills would play very well. It took until late in the summer, but the opportunity came... and nothing happened. 153 AB in Boston yielded only 2 HR. That wasn't a sample-size fluke, either, as 367 pre-callup ABs in Triple-A yielded just eight more HR. On the heels of 34 HR across three levels in 2011, "What happened?" is a very fair...
